Civil engineering (General)</subject><description>Betung - Sei Lilin road is a road that connects the city limits of Palembang to&#xD; Jambi city limits. This road section has an important role in promoting economic&#xD; growth both locally and nationally. In writing this final report, writers want to&#xD; know how the geometric planning methods and pavement thickness are good at&#xD; Betung - Sei Lilin road, so the road can give safety, comfortable, and economical&#xD; for all road users. In the geometric design of highway planning, the main basic&#xD; references are horizontal alignment, vertical alignment and to design the type of&#xD; pavement. From the results of the above calculations, the Betung - Sei Lilin road&#xD; is the way class I A (Arterial Road) with a speed plan 80 km/hour and this road&#xD; used 7 curves. Layer using the type of road surface pavement Laston with 10 cm&#xD; of thickness, the base layer using split class A with 25 cm of thickness, and&#xD; subbase layer using Sirtu class A with 54 cm of thickness.
