- The study is about design of geometric and flexible pavement of Simpang Meo – Talang Taling highway. The project is located in Talang Taling, Gelumbang District of Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatera Province. The writers used the highway as media to learn and understand how to design a geometric highway, including the thickness of pavement layer, in order to make a comportable, safe, economist, and efficient highway. Basic references in design geometric and flexible pavement of highway are road classification, medan group, horizontal alignment, vertical alignment, determination of pavement highway method, and also complementary building like drainase and boxculvert. According to the result of analysis and calculating, the highway is under class II A collector with flatland medan group. It has 14 bends with 3 different types, i.e. Full Circle bend (F-C), Spiral-Spiral bend (S-S) Spiral-Circle-Spiral bend (S-CS). Laston layer aus AC-WC 7cm, layer AC-BC 8cm, and foundation layer ACBase 10cm are used as surface layer. Foundation layer agregat A (CBR 90%) 18cm and agregat B (CBR 60%) 32cm are used as bottom foundation layer. The project needed 274 working days and cost Rp. 46.824.580.000,00
