Electronics Nuclear engineering</subject><description>Irrigation is the process of drainage water from the water source to&#xD; the channel to distribute water to the paddy crop to wet the soil to achieve a good&#xD; soil conditions for plant growth. Irrigation has five unsir namely human, natural,&#xD; physical, and engineering plants, the five elements are compatible, connect and&#xD; unite so that it can be said that irrigation is a system. The purpose of the design of&#xD; this tool is to control the water needs of plants but can also be used for more&#xD; efficient water saving with delivery condition information terraces.&#xD; System design and realization of automation of irrigation systems to&#xD; determine the condition of the soil is dry to the sensing logic-based Global System&#xD; for Mobile Communication using dry soil sensors that can send short messages&#xD; via mobile phone to the owner of the rice fields wherever the owner og the rice&#xD; field there , when the soil was detected in dry conditions and automatically&#xD; irrigate the fields. The circuit consists of a piece of hardware software. Hardware&#xD; such as LCD, a data processor ATMega 16 Microcontroller, Power Supply, IC&#xD; Regulator, 1 Sensor Dry Soil , 3 Water Sensor in each fields and software of&#xD; programming languages BASCOM AVR. The workings of this tool is that the&#xD; author made during dry soil conditions the system will perform automatic&#xD; irrigation and irrigation during the water, when the water of the water level&#xD; sensor or on a predetermined threshold is 30 cm, 60 cm and 90 cm then&#xD; automatically GSM (Global System for Mobile Communication) will provide&#xD; notification via SMS (Short Message Service) to Mobile receiver on the water&#xD; height limit has been reached.
