PENINGKATAN DAYA INGAT MENGGUNAKAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN BRAIN BASED LEARNING

- This research was motivated by the low memory ability in SDN Cirendeu 01 in bahasa indonesia learning, indicated by the number of students who were still below the minimum completeness criteria. The teacher-centered learning process makes students learn passively, students keep quiet when asked by the teacher and the class atmosphere is not pleasant. The learning methods are still conventional, including lecture, recitation and question and answer methods. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of two actions. The subjects in this study were students of class IV A SDN Cirendeu 01which consisted of 16 students. The data collection techniques are tests, questionnaires, interviews and observations. Based on the data analysis, it was concluded that 1) The results of students' memory before applying the Brain Based Learning learning model were still lacking with an average value of 42 and classical learning completeness of 0%. 2) The application of the Brain Based Learning learning model goes well according to the stages. 3) The results of increasing students' memory after implementing the Brain Based Learning learning model have increased. Learning cycle I (69%) and cycle II (88%), save cycle I (38%) cycle II (94%), re-create (recall) cycle I (72%) cycle II increase (88%). The percentage of complete memory in cycle I (60%) and cycle II (90%).
- Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh masih rendahnya kemampuan daya ingat di SDN Cirendeu 01 dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia, ditandai dengan banyaknya siswa yang masih dibawah Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimun. Proses pembelajaran yang masih berpusat pada guru (teacher centered) menjadikan siswa belajar secara pasif, siswa diam ketika ditanya oleh guru dan suasana kelas yang kurang menyenangkan. Metode pembelajarannya masih konvensional antara lain metode ceramah, resitasi dan tanya jawab. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dengan dua siklus, setiap siklus terdiri dari dua tindakan. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV A SDN Cirendeu 01yang terdiri dari 16 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan datanya berupa tes, angket, wawancara dan observasi. Berdasarkan analisis data diperoleh simpulan bahwa 1) Hasil daya ingat siswa sebelum menerapkan model pembelajaran Brain Based Learning masih kurang dengan rata-rata nilai 42 dan ketuntasan belajar klasikal sebesar 0%. 2) Penerapan model pembelajaran Brain Based Learning berjalan dengan baik sesuai dengan tahapannya. 3) Hasil peningkatan daya ingat siswa setelah menerapkan model pembelajaran Brain Based Learning mengalami peningkatan. Learning siklus I (69%) dan siklus II (88%), menyimpan siklus I (38%) siklus II (94%), menimbulkan kembali (Recalling) siklus I (72%) siklus II peningkatan (88%). Presentase ketuntasan daya ingat keseluruhan siklus I (60%) dan siklus II (90%).
