- This study aims to determine the effect of using online games on the interaction ability among the gamers in the game center Jatinangor. This research method is quantitative with correlational study approach. The data is obtained through a questionnaire collection of online game variables (variable X) which consists of: frequency of online games (variable X1), time of playing online games (variable X2), the type of game favored (variable X3) and the ability of social interaction variable (variable Y). The population of this study is online game users in the game center Jatinangor totaled 75 respondents and samples are taken with a simple random sampling technique by 43 respondents. The method used is survey method, that data are collected using a questionnaire with a rating scale instrument for all variables. Based on the research, it can be concluded that the ability of social interaction can decrease with the highest frequency of online gaming, so that the gamers can choose to play games that educate and motivate to work optimally as expected.
