  • This research was conducted on the Laboratory of Ruminant Nutrition and Feed Chemical, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Padjadjaran University, Sumedang. It was held on December 2014 until January 2015. The aim of this research is to find out the effect of fermented concentrate in dairy cattle’s ration based of rice straw and kaliandra leaf (Calliandra calothyrsus) towards the digestibility of dry and organic matter (in vitro). This research used complete randomized design (CRD) as the experimental method with four treatments each replicated five times. The treatments were R0 = (39% rice straw + 21% kaliandra + 40% fermented concentrate), R1 = (39% rice straw + 21% kaliandra + 40% fermented concentrate), R2 = (44% rice straw + 21% kaliandra + 35% fermented concentrate), dan R3 = (49% rice straw + 21% kaliandra + 30% fermented concentrate). The data was analyzed by ANOVA and Duncan’s multiple range test. The results suggested that the use of fermented concentrate in ration were significantly (P<0,05) affected the digestibility of dry and organic matter. The highest value of dry and organic matter digestibility was use of 40 percent of fermented concentrate (63,72% and 57,12%). Based on these results, it can be concluded that the use of fermented concentrate as much as 40% in dairy cattle rations based of rice straw and kaliandra leaf was the highest value of dry and organic matter digestibility.
