- ABSTRACT This thesis describes the results of research on "The Influnce Of Employee Motivation On Work Discipline In General Services Of Badan Kepegawaian Negara Kantor Regional III Kota Bandung". Background underlying the writing of this thesis is that there is interest in the facts and data that I have found during pre-observation interviews that show the discipline of employees working in the General section is still low due to lack of employee motivation. Low level of employee discipline is still suspected because of the variables that affect and lack of motivation from superiors to subordinates. The purpose of doing research to determine the condition of labor discipline and motivation and than how much influence employee motivation on employee work discipline in General Section. As for the theory that the authors use two variables untu. Variable using the theory of employee motivation by B.Siswanto Sastrohadiwiryo and labor discipline was using the theory of B.Siswanto Sastrohadiwiryo. According B.Siswanto Sastrohadiwiryo employee motivation as independent variables divided into seven dimensions of work and discipline as the dependent variable is divided into three dimensions. Overall dimensions are then translated into indicators in the form of a statement to facilitate authors in search of indications of problems that are made and analyze the responses. While the motivation of employees to investigate the influence of labor discipline by the author using the theory Moekizat and B.Siswanto Sastrohadiwiryo. According Moekizat motivation is influenced by many other personnel activities one of which is discipline while under disciplinary Sastrohadiwiryo B.Siswanto Erta correlation with motivation and morale. The research method used by the authors is a method of quantitative techniques in associative elaboration. To obtain the information the wriiter get the data through library research and field studies (observation, structured interviews, and questionnaires). The technique of determining the sample used is a census technique. Further data processing techniques used are Likert scale. Variables to be measured are translated into an indicator variable, then the indicator is used as a starting point to construct the instrument items that can be a statement or question. Results of research on the effects of employee motivation on labor discipline in the General section can be concluded that the influence of employee motivation to work discipline included in the strong category. Implementation of labor discipline an employee has not been optimally implemented by all employees of the General section, due to lack of motivation effects of Head of General Affairs. Head of Commercial Section provides less opportunity for employees to develop job performance and career opportunities. As implementation of the training is still considered low for employees with high school education and less to do promotion. This is impacting on the level of discipline and work performance of employees. Employees feel bored, bored, and needed to do coaching and career development opportunities / positions of Chief of General staff to improve labor discipline.
