  • ABSTRACT Temporomandibular joint disorders often produce a change in condylar bone. Any change that occurs in the condylar (head of condyle) will cause a change in its morphology and often to be found in TMD suspected patient. The purpose of this study was to find the description of condyle head form in temporomandibular disorder (TMD) suspected patient at RSGM, UNPAD using panoramic radiograph. The research method used in this study was descriptive method with purposive sampling, so that we can obtained 85 samples of Panoramic radiographs with various shape of mandibular condyle head form with temporomandibular disorder. The data were recorded, collected and presented in table form. The result of this study shows that the highest occurrence of condylar head form in TMD suspected patients are the pointed condylar head form. The second highest condylar head form falls in the angled category. Flat and erosion condylar head form are in the bottom two. Although osteophyte, sclerosis and Ely’s cyst are absent on the right condyle, on the left condyle it shows an even distribution among the three. It is also noted that 57.5% of the people have unilateral or un-similar condyle symmetry shape Thus it is concluded that the most occurring condylar head form in TMD suspected patient using panoramic radiograph taken from the Installation of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology RSGM UNPAD are the pointed condylar head form and most respondents have unilateral or not similar condyle shape on both sides.
