- Abstract Kilo field located approximately 70 km west of Palembang City, this field geologically located within south sumatra basin province and in area of Profit Sharing Contract of PT. MedcoEnergi Indonesia. This study focused on depositional facies of Early Miocene “ A ” Sandstone Member Gumai Formation. The characteristic of this sediment could be identified from conventional core data from 4 well which is XYZ – 203, XYZ – 224, XYZ – 238, and XYZ – 261. Based on observation conducted from the core and electric log data, “ A “ sandstone interval shows a set of varying depositional environment ranging from paralic to shallow marine. Generally, overall depositional facies package could be break down into 4 major cycle each bordered by fourth order of sequence stratigraphic surfaces such as sequence boundary, transgressive surface, flooding surface, dan maximum flooding surfaces. From the calibrated core data recovered and crosschecked by well log data, there is 14 major developed litofacies identified and seperated by code wich is Tabular plane stratification - trough cross bedded sandstone (A 1), Vague coarse bedded - trough cross stratification sandstone (A 2), Planar Laminated - current rippled sandstone (A 3), Swaley - wave rippled sandstone(A 4), Glauconite (A 5), Hummocky Cross Stratification sandstone with bioturbated mud (B 1), current ripple muddy sandstone with flasser (B 2), Planar laminated muddy sandstone with convolute (B 3), Bioturbated silty sandstone (B 4), Soft sedimen deformation claystone with silt intrabed (C 1), Paralel laminated mudstone (C 2), massive claystone (C 3). SARI Lapangan Kilo terletak sekitar 70 km di sebelah barat Kota Palembang, lapangan ini secara regional terletak dalam cekungan sumatera selatan yang merupakan area kontrak bagi hasil milik PT. MedcoEnergi Indonesia. Studi penelitian ini tentang studi sikuen pengendapan endapan yang difokuskan antara interval Anggota Batupasir Gumai dari Formasi Gumai yang berumur Miosen Awal. Karakreristik batusedimen dari Anggota Batupasir Gumai yang telah diidentifikasi dari data batuan inti konvensional yang diperoleh dari sumur XYZ – 203, XYZ – 224, XYZ – 238, dan XYZ – 261. Berasarkan analisa dari data yang diperoleh, interval batupasir “ A ” menunjukkan suatu set dari lingkungan pengendapan endapan yang bervariasi dengan rentang lingkungan pengendapan endapan dari paralic hingga shallow marine. Secara keseluruhan paket fasies pengendapan endapan dapat dibagi menjadi 4 siklus dengan masing – masing unit dengan karakteristik serta tren pola log gamma ray mengkasar keatas dan sedikit menghalus keatas. Setiap siklus ini dibatasi oleh permukaan sequence boundary, transgressive surface, flooding surface dan maximum flooding surface. Dari data core yang telah dikalibrasi dengan data log elektrik maka dapat diidentifikasi 14 litofasies yang berkembang yaitu fasies Tabular Plane Stratification - trough cross bedded sandstone (A 1), Vague coarse bedded - trough cross stratification sandstone (A 2), Planar Laminated - current rippled sandstone (A 3), Swaley - wave rippled sandstone (A 4), Glauconite (A 5), Hummocky Cross Stratification sandstone with bioturbated mud (B 1), current ripple muddy sandstone with flasser (B 2), Planar laminated muddy sandstone with convolute (B 3), Bioturbated silty sandstone (B 4), Soft sedimen deformation claystone with silt intrabed (C 1), Paralel laminated mudstone (C 2), massive claystone (C 3).
