- ABSTRAK Sigmund Freud adalah seorang ahli psikoanalisis dari Wina, Austria. Teorinya tentang psikoanalisis banyak membantu disiplin ilmu diluar psikologi, termasuk sastra. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menganalisis sikap abnormal tokoh utama Yaichi dalam cerita pendek Ten Made Todoke karya Yoshida Genjiro dan reaksi masyarakat sekitar terhadap Yaichi. Penulis menggunakan teori psikoanalisi Sigmund Freud untuk mengetahui konflik antara Id, Ego dan Super-ego dalam diri Yaichi. Penulis juga akan mendeskripsikan kecemasan yang dialami Yaichi sehingga Yaichi bersikap abnormal. Berdasarkan analisis tersebut, penulis dapat mendeskripsikan Id, Ego dan Super-ego dalam diri Yaichi, kecemasan Yaichi dan bagaimana reaksi masyarakat terhadap Yaichi. Yaichi adalah anak seorang nelayan yang bersikap aneh sejak ditinggalkan ayahnya pergi melaut. Selama berbulan-bulan Yaichi menunggu ayahnya pulang. Pada siang hari Yaichi menunggu ayahnya di atas bukit pasir, dan pada malam hari Yaichi membuat api unggun dari kayu dinding rumahnya sebagai penunjuk arah agar ayahnya bisa pulang. Kata kunci : Yaichi, Psikoanalisis, Teori Kepribadian. ABSTRACT Sigmund Freud was a psychoanalyst from Vienna, Austria. His theory of psychoanalysis helped disciplines outside of psychology, including literature. In this study, the authors analyze the abnormal posture of main character in the short story, Yaichi in Ten Made Todoke by Yoshida Genjiros and also the public reaction to Yaichi. The author uses the theory phsycoanalysist of Sigmund Freud to analize psychoanalyst conflict between Id, Ego and Super-ego within Yaichi. The author will also describe the anxiety experienced Yaichi for the reason that Yaichi become abnormal. Based on this analysis, the author can describe Id, Ego and Super-ego within Yaichi, Yaichi’s axiety and how the public reaction to Yaichi. Yaichi was the son of a fisherman who was acting strange since his father left to sail. For months Yaichi has been awaiting for his return. In a daytime Yaichi was waiting for his father on the dunes, and in the evening Yaichi make a bonfire using wood of his house as a direction so his father could go home.
