Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara terpaan tayanganReportase Investigasi TRANS TV dengan persepsi ibu – ibu rumah tangga pada tindakkejahatan dan penipuan. Penelitian ini Berpijak kepada teori kultivasi. Metode penelitian inimenggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan analisis korelasional yaitu metode untukmencari hubungan antara dua variabel atau lebih. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh ibu – ibu rumah tangga di Kota Bandung yang berusia 21- 40 tahun keatas atau usia produktif sebanyak 251 orang dengan tehnik Cluster Sampling diperoleh 72 sampel. Hasil dalam penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang cukup berarti antara dua variabel yaitu antara terpaan tayangan Reportase Investigasi dengan persepsi ibu – ibu rumah tangga pada tindak kejahatan dan penipuan. Analisis penelitian membuktikan bahwa terpaan tayangan Reportase Investigasi yang terdiri dari durasi, frekuensi, struktur pesan, gaya pesan, dan daya tarik pesan dapat mempengaruhi pengetahuan dan pemahaman ibu – ibu rumah tangga pada tindak kejahatan dan penipuan. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between exposure of Reportase Investigasi TRANS TV with the housewife’s perception on crimes and fraud. This study is based on the cultivation theory. The method used is the quantitative approach with correlation analysis to find a correlation between two or more variables. The study population were all the housewives in Bandung aged 21-40 years of or older or exactly 251 people using Cluster Sampling technique 72 samples are obtained. The results of these studies show that there is a significant correlation between two variables, which are the exposure of Reportase Investigasi TRANS TV with the housewife’s perception on crimes and fraud.
