  • District of Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) is one of the malaria's endemic area. ln order to get mosquito information specially mosquito of Anopheles which able to be vector of contagious malaria disease, hence it is required to conduct research about the diversity of mosquito spesies (Culicidae) in of Segara Kembang village. The objective of research was to get information of spesies, relative abundance, domination number and frequency of Mosquito. Purposive sampling method was used in this research, with collection of adult mosquito by using human landing trap (trap magoon), light trap and using dipper for immature mosquito. There were 19 mosquito spesies were collected during the study. There were one Aedes (Ae. albopictus), eight Anopheles i.e; An. aconitus, An. annularis, An. barbirostris, An. kochi, An. nigerrimus, An. schuefoeri, An. umbrosus and An. vagus, one Armigeres (Ar. subalbatus), seven Culex i.e Cx. qutnquefasciatus, Cx. sitiens, Cx. tritaeniorhyncus, Cx. bitaeniorhyncus, Cx. gelidus, Cx. halifaxii, Cx. fuscanus and two Mansonia specie. i.e. Ma. annulifera Ma. rmiformis. The highest percentage of mosquito catching of various methods were Cx. quinquefasciatus (28,3%), An. aconitus (10,7%) Ma. annulifera (0,7%). The highest percentage of mosquito catching by human bait method were Cx. quinquefasciatus (37,8%), An. aconilus (6%), by magoon trap were Cx. sitiens (37,8%), An. aconitus (14,6%), by light trap were Cx. quinquefasciatus (38,5%), An. vagus (5,7%) and dipper were Cx. sitiens (19,5%), An. vagus (25,7%) respectively.
