- This research aims to determine whether there are differences in financial performance of Government Banks and National Private Private Banks in Indonesia for the period 2014 - 2018 by using financial ratios. The population in this study are all Government Banks and National Private Banks in Indonesia. The sample in this study were 4 Government Banks and 4 National Private Commercial Banks listed in the Top 500 Most Valuable Bank Brands 2018. Financial performance indicators are measured by ratios, namely LDR, CAR, ROA, ROE, BOPO and NIM. The data analysis technique used to test the hypothesis is the Independent Sample T-Test. The results showed that there were no differences in the ratio of LDR, CAR, ROA and BOPO between Government Banks and Private Banks. In addition, the results of the study also showed that there were differences in the ROE and NIM ratios between Government Banks and National Private Private Banks.
