- The increasing number of visitors to Parangtritis Beach was followed by an increased risk of accidents and health problems. These risks can be prevented by practicing safety behavior. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes with safety behavior in tourists in Parangtritis Beach, Bantul Regency, DIY. This study was an observational study, a cross-sectional study design. The number of samples was 110 tourist at Parangtritis beach. The sampling technique was accidental sampling. Data was collected by a questionnaire and was analyzed by chi square test. Study found that there was a relationship between knowledge (p-value 0.020) and attitudes (p-value 0.003) with safety behavior. There was no relationship between gender (p-value 0.627), age (p-value 0.911), education (p-value 0.677) with safety behavior.
