  • The purpose of this study is to find out and explain the relationship between self-concept and family social support with school well-being among students of Junior High School X Playen Gunungkidul. The subjects in this study were students in grades VII, VIII and IX Junior High School X Playen Gunungkidul. This study uses a quantitative method by distributing three scales consisting of the Well-Being School Scale, the scale of self-concept, and the scale of family social support. Data obtained in this study were then analyzed using SPSS Version 17.00 for windows. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant relationship between self-concept and family social support with school well-being in junior high school students resulting in R = 0.271 with p = 0.025 (p <0.05). The results of the next correlation results in a correlation coefficient between the self-concept variables and school well-being, r = 0.276 with p = 0.008 (p <0.05). This shows that there is a significant positive relationship between self-concept and school well-being. Variable family social support with school wellbeing produces r = 0.109 with p = 0.283 (p> 0.05). This shows that there is no relationship between family social support and school wellbeing. The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant positive the relationship between self-concept and family social support with school wellbeing among students of Junior High School X Playen Gunungkidul. From this analysis obtained R square = 0.074 so that self-concept and family social support make an effective contribution of 7.4% to school well being.
