  • to change the behavior of human beings in socializing and communicating. Communication without control in social media cause in advent a variety of crimes for example cyberbullying. Adolescents are accounted for the highest percentage as perpetrators or victims of cyberbullying on social media especially Instagram. The aims of this research was to determine the relationship between peer conformity and cyberbullying behavior among active instagramer adolescents in Yogyakarta City. This research used quantitative methods. Participants in this research were 110 students of X Senior High School in Yogyakarta. The data collection methods in this research used two scales, that is the cyberbullying scale consists of 16 questions, conformity scale consists of 15 questions. The results of this study showed there was a significant negative relationship between peer conformities and cyberbullying behaviour in adolescents. The value of the correlation coefficient between cyberbullying and peer conformity is rxy-0226, with a significance rate of 0.028 (P < 0.05). Conclusions obtained from the research of SMA X students in Yogyakarta. Conformities are not a major factor of cyberbullying. There are other factors that can affect cyberbullying such as, traditional bullying, negative school climate perception and a sense of empathy.
