- This study aims to determine parenting patterns of prosocial behavior in adolescents. This study used a quantitative approach with the population in this study were all class 2 students of SMA Negeri 1, totaling 175 students and a sample of 122 students using probability sampling techniques. Data collection techniques using primary data using questionnaires / questionnaires and secondary data through observation and interviews to collect supporting data. The research data analysis technique used descriptive analysis and regression analysis. The results showed; There is a positive and significant influence between parenting styles and adolescent prosocial behavior at SMA N 1 Merangin with a correlation value between variables X and Y of 0.508 which means that it has an effect of 5.08% and a constant value of 6.281 which means that if the variable X is ignored or a value of 0 then the value of the Y variable is 6.281. Then if there is a 1% increase in the value of parenting, the value of prosocial behavior will increase by 2.452. The regression coefficient is positive so that it means that the direction of the influence of variable X on Y is positive. The meaning of the positive influence is that the stronger and better the parenting style, the higher the student's prosocial behavior.
