  • Kajian Total Solid (TS) dan Solid Non Fat (SNF) Susu Kambing Peranakan Ettawa (PE) pada Satu Periode Laktasi. Penelitian dilaksanakan mulai tanggal 5 Mei sampai 25 September 2012, bertempat di Kelompok Peternakan Kambing Peranakan Ettawa, Koperasi PESAT Banyumas dan Laboratorium Produksi Ternak Perah Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Jenderal Soedirman Purwokerto. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji kualitas susu kambing pada satu periode laktasi ditinjau dari total solid (TS) dan solid non fat (SNF). Penelitian menggunakan metode survei dengan melakukan pengujian terhadap variabel yang diamati dari setiap sampel. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 3 perlakuan adalah waktu pengambilan (awal, puncak dan akhir laktasi) susu dengan 9 ulangan (ternak kambing). Hasil analisis statistika kualitas susu kambing selama satu masa laktasi ditinjau dari total solid (TS) dan solid non fat (SNF) tidak berpengaruh secara nyata (P > 0,05). Nilai persentase rataan total solid (TS) dan solid non fat masing-masing dari satu periode laktasi adalah awal laktasi 14,0678% dan 8,6556%; puncak laktasi 14,0289% dan 8,6700%; dan akhir laktasi 14,0978% dan 8,6517%. Dilihat dari nilai persentase rataan total solid (TS) dan solid non fat masing-masing ternyata sudah sesuai dengan Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI) tahun 1998. Disarankan sebaiknya dilakukan penelitian lebih lanjut untuk mengetahuai kualitas susu kambing selain Total Solid (TS) dan Solid Non Fat (SNF).Kata Kunci : Total Solid, Solid Non Fat, susu kambing segar, dan kambing laktasi STUDY OF TOTAL SOLID (TS) AND SOLID NON FAT (SNF) OF ETTAWA CROSS GOAT MILK IN ONE LACTATION PERIODThe study was conducted from May 5th to September 25 th, 2012, at the Ettawa Cross Goat Ranch Group, Banyumas PESAT Cooperative of Livestock, and Dairy Laboratory Faculty of Animal Science, Jenderal Sudirman University, Purwokerto. The study was aimed to assess the quality of goat milk in one lactation period in terms of total solid (TS) and solid non-fat (SNF). The study used survey method with a test of observed variables from each sample. The research design was completely randomized design with 3 treatments, milking time (early, peak and late lactation) milk with 9 replications (goats). The results of statistical analysis of the quality of goat milk during the lactation period in terms of total solid (TS) and solid non-fat (SNF) did not affect significantly (P> 0.05). The value of the average values of total solid (TS) and solid non fat each of the early lactation period of lactation was 14.0678% and 8.6556%, peak of lactations was 8.6700%, and 14.0289%, and late lactations were 14.0978 % and 8.6517%. Viewed from the average value of the percentage of total solid (TS) and solid non fat, respectively, it was already in accordance with the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) in 1998. It is suggested further research should be conducted to determine the quality of goat milk in addition to Total Solid (TS) and Solid Non Fat (SNF).Keywords: Total Solid, Solid Non Fat, fresh goat's milk, and goat lactation
