KONSENTRASI VFA TOTAL dan AMONIA TONGKOL JAGUNG (Zea Mays) YANG DIFERMENTASI DENGAN Aspergillus niger SECARA In Vitro

  • ABSTRAK Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kualitas tongkol jagung yang difermentasi dengan berbagai level Aspergillus niger di lihat dari produk fermentasi rumen (VFA dan N-NH3) secara in vitro. Materi yang digunakan adalah tongkol jagung yang di fermentasi menggunakan Aspergillus niger 2%, 4%, dan 6% cairan rumen sapi yang diambil dari Rumah Potong Hewan (RPH). Metode penelitian adalah experimental secara in vitro yang dirancang menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 5 kali ulangan . Perlakuan yang di uji adalah R0 = Tongkol Jagung tanpa fermentasi, R1 = Tongkol Jagung terfermentasi Aspergillus niger 2%, R2 = Tongkol Jagung terfermentasi Aspergillus niger 4%, R3 = Tongkol Jagung terfermentasi Aspergillus niger 6%. Konsentrasi VFA berkisar antara 32,92-19,64 mM dan konsentrasi NH3 berkisar antara 3,96-8,72 mM. Hasil analisis ragam menunjukkan bahwa fermentasi Aspergillus niger pada tongkol jagung berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap konsentrasi VFA dan N-NH3. Uji orthogonal polynomial menunjukkan respon linier pada VFA dengan persamaan Y = 32,92 – 8,45 X, respon kuadrater pada N-NH3 dengan persamaanY = 5,36 + 3,967 X – 1,365 X2. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin tinggi taraf Aspergillus niger semakin menurunkan konsentrasi VFA dan N-NH3. Kata Kunci : Tongkol Jagung, Aspergillus niger, VFA, N-NH3, In Vitro ABSTRACT The purpose of this research was to find out the increasing quality of fermented corncob with various level of Aspergillus niger, viewed from the rumen fermentation products (VFA and N-NH3) by In Vitro. The used material was fermented corncob using Aspergillus niger 2%, 4%, and 6% bovine rumen liquid taken from slaughter House as soon as possible after slaughtering. The research method was experimental by In Vitro using Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replication. The tested treatmens were R0 = unfermented corncob, R1 = fermented corncob by 2% of Aspergillus niger, R2 = fermented corncob by 4% of Aspergillus niger, R3 = fermented corncob by 6% of Aspergillus niger. The VFA concentration ranged between32,92-19,64 mM and NH3 concentration ranged between 3,96-8,72mM. The results of the analysis showed that the range of fermentation by Aspergillus niger on corncob was highly significant (P<0.01) on the concentrations of VFA and N-NH3. Orthogonal polynomial test showed a linier respon in the VFA with the equation Y = 32.95 – 8.45X + 2.73 X2, but quadratic response for N-NH3 with the equation Y = 5.36 + 3.967X – 1.365X2. Based on the results of this research, it is concluded that the higher level of Aspergillus niger decreases the concentrations of VFA and N-NH3.
