- This research discusses about error analysis on students‟ writing of spoof text. The researcher focused on analyzing students‟ error in writing spoof text. The data are obtained by analyzing 19 students‟ writing in the form of spoof text. Error analysis is a way that can be done to find an error. The purpose of this research are to find out the types of error made by students and to find out the most error made by students at grade XI SMA Negeri 1 Batahan. The formulation this research are how the error made by students in each types at grade XI SMA Negeri 1 Batahan and what is the most error made by students at grade XI SMA Negeri 1 Batahan. Data collection was done by giving tests to students. The students‟ writing result was analyzed after that the result was classified in tabular form and calculated into percentages in each category of the errors found. It took 99,98% of the total error. The errors found in students‟ writing of spoof text were classified into four categories namely, omission, addition, misformation, and misordering. The data were presented in percentage and bar chart. The most common errors found were errors in misformation category was 58,20% errors, then in omission 20,89% errors, then addition 11,94% errors, and the smallest error was in misordering category which was 8,95% errors. Based on the results found, it can be concluded that there were still many students‟ errors in writing spoof text at class XI SMA Negeri 1 Batahan.
