  • English is the language that can make the different people understand each other when they do the interaction so, English is very important to be learned in order to improve social relation and knowledge, and also English plays an important role such as for science, economy, business, technology, education, and about religion. Islam which has followers in each country that has different language around the world automatically also will find the translation of Al�Qur‟an in some countries, no exception in English translation. The main problem in this research is focused for the analysis types of sentences that consist of declarative sentence, interrogative sentence, imperative sentence, and exclamatory sentence. While the limitations of the research problem are, the first what are the types of sentences in Surah Luqman?, the second is what the dominant type of sentence in Surah Luqman?. The purpose of this research is to know the types of sentences for each verse in Surah Luqman and to know the dominant type of sentence in Surah Luqman This research is library research. The researcher has taken the data from Al-Qur‟an, grammar book, and journal. The researcher analyzed by using three steps, they are selecting, reading, and collecting. While the technique of managing data using four steps they are, identifying, finding, explaining, and taking conclusion. The result of this research is, the first Surah Luqman from the verse 1 up to verse 34 there are four types of sentences those are declarative sentence, interrogative sentence, imperative sentence, and exclamatory sentence. The second dominant the type of sentence in Surah Luqman from the verse 1 up to verse 34 is declarative sentence, but there are also the other types of sentences such as interrogative sentence, imperative sentence, and exclamatory sentence.
