- This research is motivated by the condition of students who are always passive in learning mathematics, a lack of a sense of responsibility for the opinions expressed by students and low self-confidence about what will be completed and even not being able to take responsibility for the task to be done. The Team Accelerated Instruction model that is expected later from this model students can learn actively in each group. This study aims to improve mathematics learning outcomes by applying the Team Accelerated Instruction model for grade VIII students on the Two Variable Linear Equation System (SPLDV) material at the Pon-Pes Mardhatillah Tanoponggol Foundation, South Tapanuli Regency. This research is a classroom action research (PTK). The subjects of this study were 29 students of class VIII-B of the Pon-Pes Mardhatillah Tanoponggol Foundation consisting of 16 girls and 13 boys. To collect data, it was done using 2 data collection instruments, namely tests and observations. This research is carried out in a cycle and the action will be stopped if the completeness score is ≥ KKM 75 and completeness if 75% of the total students complete the study. This research was conducted in two cycles, namely cycle I and cycle 2. The results obtained in this study are the application of the Team Accelerated Instuction model can improve learning outcomes of class VIII-B students on the material of the Two-Variable Linear Equation System (SPLDV) at the Pon-Pes Mardhotillah Tanoponggol Foundation with a percentage level of the first cycle of meetings I 48.28% cycle 1 meeting II 55.17%, cycle 2 meeting I 68.97%, and cycle 2 meeting II 86.21%. So it can be concluded that the TAI model can improve the learning outcomes of class VIII-B students on the material of Two Variable Linear Equation Systems at the Pon-Pes Mardhotillah Tanoponggol Foundation.
