- The writer found that students' motivation about Learning Degree of Comparison at eighth grade SMP Negeri8Padangsidimpuan. What are teachers effort to solve students’ Motivation in Learning Degrees of Comparison at eighth grade SMP Negeri 8 Padangsidimpuan. They are positive Degree, Comparative Degree, and Superlative Degree. The research was conducted by qualitative by using descriptive method. The sources of data for this research are divided into two kinds. They are primary source and secondary source. The primary source for this research is all students of class VIII SMP Negeri8 Padangsidimpuan. Total of them are 27 Student’s. After doing the writerP, the writer found some facts in the field. The studentsof the problems in Learning Degrees of Comparisonin sentence used Adjective less motivation, and hardness in studying English from their selves, the English teacher teaching Positive Degree, Comparative Degree, and Superlative Degreeto find out the Sentences. Then the efforts done by English teacher to solve the students’Motivation in Learning Degrees of Comparison to anticipate when they answer to test, the English teacher often repeated or know style especially in mean of a Adjective, word, sentence, and the difficulties in PositiveDegree, Comparative Degree and Superlative Degree. Then, the writer gave the students to found out Practice and memorize them in every meeting. Based on above explanation the writer concluded that the Motivation of grade VIIIstudents’ in SMP Negeri 8 Padangsidimpuan get 75,6% high category.After analyzing the data. It was concluded that students’ Motivation in Learning Degrees of Comparison at eighth grade SMP Negeri 8 Padangsidimpuan was high.
