- Preachers are an important component in the process of praching of Islam. Preachers become a source of information and inspiration to their lives Islamt. He is the successor to the prophet who carry the message of God shall be submitted to the public. Therefore, the task of preachers to be glorious with some competence as a character and qualities that should be possessed. Competence preachers can be divided into two aspects, namely the competence of the substance and methodology competence. Competence substance becomes more important because it involves the preacher's personality, spiritual life, ideals and Islamic knowledge possessed. While the methodology of competence becomes important for preachers as effective propaganda requires supporting competence, namely insight into the social sciences such as communication science, sociology, psychology, anthropology, economics and politics. Similarly rhetorical skills, management, journalism, language and literature and statistics into knowledge media (classified aspects of competency methodology) that can support the effectiveness of the communication message of Islam in society.
