- The purpose of this study is to determine whether the level of empowerment affects economic development. The research method used is a quantitative method using primary data, the data collection method uses a questionnaire survey method to 91 villagers of Rompu village, Masamba sub-district, North Luwu district. The analysis in this study uses version 22 of the SPSS (statistical product and service solutions) program.The results of this study with a simple regression analysis, namely, the level of community empowerment (X) has a significant positive effect on economic development (Y) in the village of Rompu, Masamba district, Luwu district. north. If community empowerment is in a constant state or 0 (zero), the value of economic development is 3,761 and 0, 794 is the size of the regression coefficient for community empowerment, which means that each increase is 1 (unit). If community empowerment increases, economic development will increase and have a positive direction. Keywords: community empowerment, economic development.
