- Keyword clustering could encourage the students to speak during the teaching and learning process. It encouraged them to be more confidence to explore their idea by using keyword clustering. When they had their own ideas, they started to understand it first, and then developed it into a good sentences based on the aspect in writing skill. This is interactive learning process made the students’ score post-test better than pre-test. Based in the explanation above, the result of the research implied that the keyword clustering can affect the students’ writing recount text to the eighth grade students of MTs. Negeri 1 Pontianak in the academic year of 2014/2015. Therefore, the keyword clustering was eligible to be applied in teaching English especially in writing recount text
