  • “The Effectiveness of Teaching Reading Comprehension by using Cooperative Script (A Pre-experimental Research at the Eleventh Grade Students of SMA Negeri 1 Kubu in the Academic Year of 2015/2016)”. The aim of this study was to find out the Effectiveness of Teaching Reading Comprehension by using Cooperative Script at the Eleventh Grade Students of SMA Negeri 1 Kubu.The population was the Eleventh Grade Students of SMA Negeri 1 Kubu in academic year 2015/2016. Thirty eight students from XI IPA 1 of eleventh grade in the second semester were selected by cluster random sampling to be the sample. The researcher used test in order to collect the data from the students in form multiple choice questions to measure the students‟ reading comprehension. Based on the findings, there are significant differences within mean score of pre-test and post-test. The mean of the pre-test is 55,13 and the mean score of post-test was 70,13. Therefore, there is 15 point that different between mean score of pre-test and post-test. It means that, the difference between pre-test and post-test considered significant
