- THE EFFECT OF ONE STRAY REST STAY (OSRS) STRATEGY IN TEACHING READING COMPREHENSION (A Pre Experimental Research to the Eleventh Grade Students of SMAN 1 Subah in the Academic Year of 2015/2016) . The purpose of this research was to find out whether the application of OSRS strategy was effective in teaching reading comprehension to the eleventh grade students of SMAN 1 Subah in the academic year of 2015/2016. This research conducted in form of one- group pre -test – post -test pre -experiment, with XI IPA students of SMAN 1 Subah in the academic year of 2015/2016 as the sample. The result of the experiment showed that the application of OSRS strategy was effective in teaching reading comprehension to the eleventh grade students of SMAN 1 Subah in the academic year of 2015/2016. During the pretest, students reading comprehension total score was only 1296 with the lowest sc ore 44 and highest score was 72. After the reatment the students’ reading comprehension had were improved. The score obtained from posttest’ total score was 1792 with the lowest score 76 and the highest score was 92. These score indicate that the application of OSRS strategy was affecting students’ reading comprehension.
