- “Improving Students’ Reading Comprehension Through Recall Summarize Question Connect Comment (RSQC2) Technique to th e Eighth Grade Students of SMP Negeri 1 Tayan Hilir in the Academic Year 2015/2016” The research was conducted in or der to improve students’ reading comprehension Through Recall Summarize Question Connect Comment (RSQC2) technique to the Eighth Grade Students of SMP Negeri 1 Tayan Hilir in the Academic Year 2015/2016.This resear ch was done by using Classroom Action Research. This research was conducted at the Eighth Grade Students of SMPN 1 Tayan Hilir. Here, the researcher chose the class VIII C as research subjects consisting of 36 students. Techniques of collecting data were observation technique and measurement technique. Where field note, observation checklist, video record, and reading test used as researcher’ tools to collect the data. To analyze the data, the researcher used qualitative a nd quantitative data analysis. The results of research findings showed that Recall Summarize Question Connect Comment (RSQC2) technique could improve students’ reading comprehension. Through RSQC2 technique the students’ more active, paid attention, and the students were enthusiast ic during teaching and learning process. Recall Summarize Question Connect Comment (RSQC2) Technique is an appropriate and effective technique to improve students’ reading comprehension. Besides, RSQC2 technique could make the students more active, and also they could share their ideas with their pair especially in r eading comprehension. Based on the result above, the researcher can concluded that Recall Summarize Question Connect Comment (RSQC2) technique could improve students’ reading comprehension well, a nd also the researcher recommended and suggested to other teachers who want to teach the students’ reading comprehension to use Recall Summarize Question Connect Comment (RSQC2) technique
