IKIP PGRI PontianakThe research was conducted in order to improve Students’ Reading Ability through Here, Hidden, and in My Head (3H) Technique on News Item Text on the tenth Grade Students of SMA N 1 Kendawangan in Academic Year of 2015/2016. This research was done by using Classroom Action Research ethod to solve the problems faced by the students.This research was conducted at the tenth Grade Students of SMA N 1 Kendawangan. Here, the researcher used purposive sampling as the sampling technique by choosing XB as research sample that consist of 32 students. Techniques of data collecting were observation technique and measurement. Field note, observation checklist, and test as the researcher’s tools to collect the data. To analyze the data, the researcher used qualitative and quantitative analyses. In qualitative data analysis, the researcher analyzed the data display data, and drawing conclusion. While in quantitative data analysis, the researcher analyzed the data from the test which calculated by score in each cycles.
