PENGARUH IRADIASI SINAR GAMMA PADA GENERASI (M2) UNTUK MENDAPATKAN GENOTIPE UNGGUL BARU KACANG TANAH (Arachis hypogaea L.) VARIETAS HypoMa 1
Daftar Isi:
- Peanut (Arachys hypogaea L.) is a commodity that has a strategic role in national food as a source of protein and is of high economic value. Decreased productivity is caused by several things including cultivation techniques that are not optimal, the lack of quality seeds and environmental factors and plant disease pests. In addition, the peanut plant also has a character of harvest age that is not synchronous. . Therefore the development of superior varieties can be achieved by increasing genetic diversity by mutation techniques using gamma ray radiation. This research was to know the effect of M2 generation gamma ray irradiation on some agronomic characters of peanut (Arachis Hypogaea L.) Hypoma 1 varietiety. The research was carried out in the UPT Pengembangan Benih Padi & Palawija, start from November 2019 until March 2020. The study used 1 factor treatment of gamma ray doses consisting of 5 genotypes based on LD 50 information reference, namely 100 Gy to 400 Gy. population doses of 200 Gy and 300 Gy have the highest genetic diversity compared to other doses on some characters of number of branches, number of productive branches, age of harvest, number of pods and pod weight. It can be concluded that the dosages of 200 Gy and 300 Gy have the potential to become superior mutant candidates. Keywords : Arachis Hypogaea L., Mutation Breeding, Gamma Ray.
