- Abstract Electrical energy and heat energy in industrial processes are generally obtained by steam by boiler products. Boiler feed water containing minerals can interfere with the boiler's working system in producing steam. The problem that often occurs in boilers because minerals are form scale, form corrosion, and form foam. The demineralization boiler feed water process is very important to avoid this problem. The purpose of this study is the demineralization of groundwater for boiler feed water by the reverse osmosis method. The research method is to pass ground water in a reverse osmosis series consisting of 5 microns PP, carbon block filter, coconut carbon granule filter, manganese filter, and reverse osmosis membrane. The results of this study indicate that ground water can be used as demineralized water with a reverse osmosis process and suitable with the requirements of boiler feed water at high pressure operation,the optimum performance of the system is obtained at 50 minutes and a pressure of 40 Psiby effectiveness for TDS 96.7568%, TSS 98.4375%, silica 100%, and alkalinity 93.3396%.
