  • Finding renewable fuels source alternatives is crucial due to the reduced inventory of non-renewable fossil fuels. The off-gradeglucose is the unstandardized glucose, or if its quality does not meet the Indonesian National Standard.Hence, the selling value is low.The off-grade glucose, per se, has glucose content that can be fermented directly to produce Butanol product. The purpose of this research is to obtain Biobutanol from an organic material that contains Monosaccharide by the fermentation process of Clostridium Acetobutylicum. Biobutanol is produced by fermenting the off-grade glucose which has been diluted to 15% using starter volume variables of 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 (% v / v) and fermentation time of 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 (days)under anaerobic condition at a temperature of 300 C. The fermentation resultsundergo a purification process using a distillation method at a temperature of 8000 C.The obtained Butanol content on the 12th day was 7.785% with the amount of starter of 11% v / v.
