  • The phenomenon of the efficient use of the meter recording by employees is not optimal due to the limited number of community service activities, unavailability of operational vehicles, and the absence of transportation compensations. This study examines the compensation effect associated with the work motivation of meter recording employees of the Customer Relations Department in Regional Drinking Water Company, located at Tidore Kepulauan City. This research used the quantitative method to obtain data from a total of 43 respondents through questionnaires and observation. The results showed that at confidence and significance levels of 0.05% and 95%, a correlation coefficient r value of 0.735 was obtained. Furthermore, the significant value of the t-test is greater than t-table (6.941> 2.021), which showed a positive and significant effect of employee compensation on work motivation. Therefore, the hypothesis was accepted.
