  • Vanilla plant (Vanilla Planifolia) is one of the introduced plants originating from Mexico and Central America. Vanilla is currently growing rapidly and cultivated in the tropics. This study aims to determine the effect and duration of immersion of coconut water on the growth of vanilla (Vanilla planifolia) cuttings. The research used a factorial randomized block design (RBDF) consisting of 2 factors, the first factor was the concentration of coconut water consisting of 4 levels, namely 0%, 30%, 60%, 90% and the second factor the immersion time consisted of 4 hours, namely 3 hours, 6 hours. and 9 hours with 3 replications, the parameters of the observation included the percentage of live cuttings (%), shoot length (cm), number of roots. Wet weight (grams) and dry weight (grams). The results showed that the coconut water concentration had a significant effect on the growth of vanilla cuttings in shoot length, number of leaves, number of roots and wet weight.
