- ABSTRACT The diversity of vegetation that are high enough in some forest areas one of which is a protected forest area Gunung Raya Distrik Ketapang. Limited data on species diversity and standing stock in Gunung Raya makes a motivastion in this study. Making a large force to conserve forest. The purpose of this study to determine the diversity of vegetation types of trees in the protected forest area Gunung Raya. By using the transect method, the plot made continuosly on track, determination of transect conducted by purposive sampling with 4 track, size of the track 20 x 500 meter, the distance between track 100 meter. The observation found a tree level vegetation types 17 different tipe of 11 families, the highest species diversity of family Dipterocarp. The volume of standing stock in the protected forest area Gunung Raya is meranti of 555,77 m3 the largest distribution derived from red meranti (Shorea leprosula Miq) for 183,77 m3.
