  • Local forest is defined as forest which grows on land of local people with various types of plants that is managed both by individual and by a group of farmers. Aloe tree in Nusapati was planted by the local farmers due to its high potential value. The research work aimed to describe forest farmer’s perception on local forest program in Nusapati Village District of Sungai Pinyuh Mempawah regency especially on Aloe tree on age, education and knowledge level of farmers by using qualitative analysis. 30 respondents were taken. According to the research about findings, about 76.67% agreed to grow Aloe tree and approximately 23.33% did not say anything about the program. The farmer’s perception on the level of age and knowledge on Aloe tree was significantly positive while based on the level of education the perception was positive but not significant.
