THE EFFECT OF SUBSTITUTION OF RUDE AGGREGATE WITH PALM OIL SHELLS ON CONCRETE FC '20Mpa
Daftar Isi:
- Concrete is the main basic material in the planning and design of building structures and is widely used as a building material. Concrete is known as a material with a high enough compressive strength, easy maintenance, easy production, economical and widely available constituent materials in nature. Along with the development of material technology, especially concrete technology, an idea emerged to utilize natural resources as a constituent or additive. One of the efforts to utilize natural resources is by using oil palm shells which are used as a substitute for coarse aggregate in the concrete mixture. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of using oil palm shells as a substitute for some coarse aggregate in concrete mixtures with variations of 0%, 5%, 10%, 15% and 20%. The method used has several stages. Material testing methods, first taking samples and testing the constituents of concrete, second taking samples and testing fresh concrete, third, sampling and testing samples and testing hard concrete. Testing of basic concrete materials, procedures for making concrete specimens, and testing the compressive strength of concrete. Keywords: concrete, concrete technology, natural resources, oil palm shells.
