  • The policy implementation of local curriculum in Indonesia refers to diversity of the cultural and geographical society of Indonesia. T his curriculum aims to providing provision of knowledge, skills and behaviors many students, so that they have knowledge about envi ronmental condition and community needs in accordance with ap plicable values in the region and support to the sustainability of re gional development and national development in Indonesia. Thus is the development of learning materials adapted to local content on their respective schools. Local content materials development base on environment by research have been indicated improving students critical thinking skills and also helping the formation of st udents characteR. This starts from the concept of formation towa rds the realization by logical thinking ability and then come the aw areness by reality of our life base on our experience from its envir onment and learning in schools with teachers and colleagues. An other impact from teaching local content development base on e nvironment was integration between field studied that can ease t o teaching in schools and also can implementation by the Boy Sco ut.
