Whilst, career counseling model that is used by counselors at the school has not been able to produce optimal results, particularly in helping students find the fit and proper career choices.&#xD; &#xD; This study was undertaken to formulate and examine the effectiveness of career counseling model in establishing counselee career choices. The research was carried out in some stages and has involved a number of counselors and high school students in Bandarlampung. At the preliminary stage of study and formulation of a hypothetical model, 19 counselors and 664 students were involved. Feasibility model has been examined by three guidance experts and counselors and discussed together with a number of school counselors. In the phase of the test on effectiveness of the model, the research has involved as many as 146 students using the study of design Pretest-posttest quasi experimental Nonequivalent Group Designs. The data on the certainty counselee career choice, both before and after treatment were collected by using the Career Choices Certainty Scale (CCCS).&#xD; &#xD; The results showed that the model of career counseling is an effective alternative that was developed to help counselees establish his/her career choice. The mean score of counselee career choice certainty from the experimental groups increased significantly after using an alternative model of career counseling and was also higher than those of counselee career choice certainty which did not to use the alternative model of career counseling (control group).
