- The evidence suggests that the practice of corruption, collusion and nepotism (KKN) has continued until today, including in the process of procurement of government. From 2004 to 2009, the Corruption Eradication Commission (CEC) has been dealing with 148 cases of corruption. Of that amount, as many as 63 or 43 percent of cases related to procurement of goods and services with state losses of Rp 689.195 billion. Corruption case of procurement of goods and services ever conducted on the procurement of goods and services performed by direct appointment by the state losses of Rp 649 billion, was due to mark-up reached Rp 41.3 billion. Policy Institute for Government Procurement (PIGP) plays an important role in preventing corruption in government procurement of goods and services. This paper seeks to reveal the service provided PIGP in order to improve the quality of government procurement of goods and services.
