- The household of coconut farmer in Enok subdistrict faced with the problem the intrusion of sea water, limited capital, eradicated of pests and diseases, and the monopsony’s market structure. This study aimed to analyze the factors respect to the economic decisions making of the households of coconut farmers from aspects of production, the allocation of working time, income, and the expenditure. The study used the econometric model of simultaneous equations approach Two Stage Least Squre (2SLS) method. The result of analysis showed that none of the determinant factors respect to responsive by production. Although it’s not responsive, the amount of productive coconut was most respect on production. Allocation of the coconut farming working time and the use of hired labor respect to responsive positively by the income of coconut farming. The allocation of non working time of coconut farming respect to unresponsive positively by the income of non coconut farming, and conversely. The expenditure of households (food and non food) respect to responsive by the household total income. The investment of coconut land respect to responsive by the income of coconut farming. The policy can be taken by the government to develop the coconut plantation among others the coconut replanting, repairing levees to prevent sea water intrusion, and eradication of pest and diseases. In addition, necessary effort to motivated the farmer household to allocating more of working time in coconut farming.
