- In this research, chalcone of (E)-1-(3-bromophenyl)-3-(4-chlorophenyl)prop-2-en-1-on was synthesized using microwave irradiation with a basecatalyst (KOH) and 74.30% rendement was obtained. The purity of thiscompound has been tested using TLC, melting point test, and analyticalHPLC. The identification of coumpond was analyzed using UV, IR, and1H NMR spectroscopy. The toxicity test was done by Brine ShrimpLethality Test (BSLT) method against Artemia salina Leach larva and theresult showed that LC50 was 3.98 μg/mL.
