  •                            ABSTRACT    The research entitled "The Childhood Trauma of Charlie Kelmeckis as Seen in Steven Chboskyâ€TMs Film The Perks of being a Wallflower" is intended as a requirement to accomplish the bachelorâ€TMs degree at Faculty of Humanities Sam Ratulangi University Manado. This study focuses on the psychological condition of Charlie Kelmeckis in living his post-traumatic life. The purpose of this study is to identify, classify, analyze, and describe the childhood trauma of Charlie Kelmeckis. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method according to Bogdan and Biklen (1982). In identifying, classifying, and analyzing data, the author uses Smith's (2011) theory to describe Charlieâ€TMs psychological condition, Stanton's (1965) character theory and Snyder's (2011) film theory. The result of this research are Charlie have two major traumatic experience that causes by two factor. they are; sudden death of a loved ones and sexual abuse. The several symptoms show by Charlie those are problems with memory; nightmares; self blame; fear and worry; silence.Keywords: Childhood Trauma, PTSD, Psychology, Character
