- Seeing the many potentials of tourism objects that exist as well as the arts and ethnic culture of the people of Ternate City, it is only natural that the tourism sector is set as a mainstay in increasing PAD. But in reality, this sector has not been able to contribute according to the target set by the Regional Government of Ternate City through regional retribution on Regional Original Revenue. Because the existing potential cannot be optimally utilized because of limited funds in development and development. This research aims to determine the tourism sector development strategy by the Ternate City Culture and Tourism Service in an effort to increase Regional Original Revenue (PAD). From this research carried out to become an input for the Government, especially the government officials of the Ternate City Tourism Office, this research is useful as a material input / contribution of thought in managing the tourism sector to increase the Regional Original Income of Ternate, using qualitative research methods, with data collection techniques conducted using the method of observation interviews with informants, document studies, data analysis was carried out throughout this research. The results of the study show that the Ternate City Tourism Service Strategy in increasing Regional Original Income (PAD) has gone well. It can be seen that there is an increase in PAD and tourist visits every year, although it is not too significant.Keywords: Strategy, Tourism Office, Local Revenue.
