- Basically, the emissions released by all types of motorized vehicles are same, only the composition is different due to differences in conditions and operating systems between one vehicle engine and another. The latest vehicle engines generally have lower levels of exhaust emissions compared to older vehicle engines. The methodologhy of this study is qualitative. The objectives of this research are knowing the characteristics of motor vehicles in the Motor Vehicle Testing Unit of Palangka Raya City, knowing the amount of motor vehicle exhaust emissions in the Motor Vehicle Testing Unit of Palangka Raya City, and knowing the relationship between the amount of gas emissions. Exhaust with the characteristics of a motorized vehicle.The results showed that exhaust emissions were influenced by the characteristics of motorized vehicles. The higher the age of the vehicle, the higher the emissions produced by motorized vehicles of 0,93 for diesel, 0,19 for CO and 0,89 for HC. In Addition, the length of the journey taken, the higher the trip length taken by a motorized vehicle, the higher the exhaust emissions produced by the vehicle is 0,95 for diesel, CO 0,88, and HC 0,92 . In addition, the cylinder capacity in a vehicle also affects the amount of exhaust gas emissions, the greater the cylinder capacity, the higher the exhaust emissions produced by a motor vehicle of 0,97for diesel, 0,0002 for CO and 0,92 for HC.
