- It should be recognised from the outset that the Islamic capital market (ICM) in Indonesia is an essential element of the capital market. In its evolutionary path, the ICM has functioned effectively as an alternative market for capital seekers and providers, at the same time playing an important complementary role to the Islamic capital market industry. This article try to elaborate about the industry growth today is rely on product development, syariah harmonisation, market penetration and development. More importantly, the emergence of a distinct Islamic capital market, where investment and financing activities are structured in accordance with syariah principles, is therefore the outcome of a natural progression in the growth of the Islamic industry.
