- Bond as an instrument of capital market nowadays still plays a small role in Indonesian capital market. This condition occurs due to the lack of knowledge, lack of information, unpopularity of bond among market players, and also Indonesia’s macro and micro economic conditions. In 2003, Indonesian government issued its bonds, which called T-bond (also called SUN, abbreviation of Surat Utang Negara). Since then, bond market in Indonesia started to grow along with the growth of capital market in Indonesia. And as the recovery of economic crisis continues, Bond market in Indonesia is predicted to have a bright future and will continue to grow as one of alternative investment instrument for investor and alternative source of financing for government and corporations in Indonesia.
