- Acute respiratory tract infection (ARI) is an infection that attacks the throat, nose and lungs which lasts approximately 14 days. Based on data in the hospital Ibnu Sina Bojonegoro in January-March 2018, amounting to 5.75% of the total cases. This study aims to determine DRPs analysis in prescribing ARI patients in outpatient hospitals Ibnu Sina Bojonegoro. DRPs variables include 1) dose categories 2) indications used. This research was carried out descriptively and non-experimentally with data collection in May 2018. The results of the study showed that there were 188 prescriptions for ARI and 174 prescriptions including DRPs and 956 drugs, with high doses of 150 drugs (15.69%) and in the low dose category 186 drugs (19.45%). Of the 174 prescriptions that experienced DRPs, an indication of additional therapeutic needs was 6 prescriptions (3.45%), therapy that was not needed 29 prescriptions (16.67%) and ineffective drugs 2 prescriptions (1.15%). So it is necessary to do an effective treatment by providing rational medication for patients with ARI can avoid Drug Related Problems (DRPs)
