- The objectives of the research are: (1) to produce a realistic mathematics instructional package involving students metacognition at the Junior High School in Makassar which are of good quality and (2) to revel the profile students metacognition at the public Junior High School in Makassar within a realistic mathematic instruction involving metacognition. This study a qualitative research with was preceded by developing a realistic mathematic instructional package involving students metacognition (PMS-MS Package). Such a qualitative research ws conducted in order to reveal students metacognition within a realistic mathematic instruction at the Junior High School. The development of the PMS-MS package employed the modified model of developing an instructional system. The development phases which took place were: (1) defining phase, (2) designing phase, and (3) developing phase.
